Oh For the Love of Yarn: Alpaca Silk

If there ever was a yarn to love, it was this!

This week, I was so fortunate to be able to work with this amazingly sumptuous yarn. Blue Sky Alpacas yarn has always been extremely high on my list of yummy yarns, and this beautiful blend of 50% Alpaca and 50% Silk did not fail to send many butterflies to my stomach! Upon picking up my first skein, I couldn't believe how light it was! This warm, buttery fiber went through my hands so smoothly, I never wanted to put it down. After working with it as long as I did, small amounts of splitting did occur. The very momentarily problems it caused wasn't enough for me to call it quits though! The best words to describe this yarn would be luxurious, soft, sumptuous and luscious. And, to top it off, it is WARM! Perfect for the rest of the fall and into winter.

So, my advice to you today: go get yourself some Blue Sky Alpacas yarn!
