While Kim was giving her walk Through of the new Fall Interweave Crochet magazine, she talked a little bit about the submission process at Interweave Crochet. Right now they have the call for submissions out for the Summer 2009 issue (which you can find here), which sounds so great!! If I had a little more time in my schedule right now, I'd definitely put something together. Things that Kim always looks for in a submission are:
- The Swatch. The reason Interweave Crochet doesn't accept electronic submissions is because Kim wants to be able to see what the finished crocheted product is going to feel like, how it drapes, the thickness of the fabric, and if it has a "this definitely isn't your grandma's crochet" statement to it.
- The appropriateness of the item for the season (again, read what they're looking for in a submission before you start dreaming!).
Now, for the special trunk show picture of the day:
While this isn't the best picture in the world of the beautiful Northern Dreams Pullover, There will be a much better picture in the Knitting Daily Gallery! Yes, I modeled this for the gallery, and if it were just a tad bigger (We determined that I should either try a very slightly bigger yarn and next size crochet hook, or just a bigger crochet hook, as the next size is TOO big!), it'd be PERFECT!! I'm SO DEFINITELY making this sweater!!
