Friday Fun Day!

I know this is normally the day that I post about my craftsy class progress, but to be perfectly honest with you, I did NOTHING this week! I have to start looking to purchase yarn for my cardi project, so I've just kind of been waiting to find some extra cash floating around in the air...you know how that is ;)

But, I can tell you that the class is on sale right now!! You can get the entire class for only $29.99! I can't find anywhere that says how long the promotion is running, so you should sign up now! I am so excited to start implementing broomstick lace into my designs, so of course I want all of my readers to be able to make them!

Online Crochet Class

With feeling under the weather last weekend and into this week, I definitely didn't get as much crocheting done as I would have liked. But, I can share some pictures of what I did get done!

This afghan is something my mom found in my Grandma's craft room when they were cleaning it out for auction. Grandma must have started it and only got about 11 rows into it or so. I'm so glad mom saved it so that I can finish working on it! I've almost finished two of the pineapple repeats now. I'm not sure how big I'm going to make it...I guess I'll just know when it gets there!

It has been working up very quickly for me. I was able to finish 1-1/2 of the pattern repeats in just a few hours!

This next picture is a sneak peak teaser for everyone. It is the original swatch I made for my new pattern in the works!

Yesterday when I went to visit Studio S in Delavan, I picked out yarn for the actual design sample! Debbie, the owner of the shop, was so helpful to me in finding the perfect yarn! I'm in love with how it is crocheting up...and I think you will love it too!

Api is a lovely 50% Wool, 50% Alpaca yarn that is spun thick and thin. It is an absolute dream to work with! If you saw my yarn buying habits lately, you'd think my favorite color is blue. I made the Evelyn cowl up in that lovely blue Madelinetosh (sigh, madelinetosh, je t'aime!), and I bought that lovely blue Universal Yarn that I made the sunglasses case in...But I still cling to my purple!

I have two more bits of exciting news! One, I am going to start teaching crochet classes at Studio S! If you live in the area and would be interested in learning to crochet a market bag designed by your truly, you can get in touch with Studio S! The class will be in March, and I am so excited! Secondly, today is the day that I get to schedule my ultrasound!! If you're a mommy, you definitely know how exciting this is! Yay!

What will you be crocheting this weekend? I'm going to continue working on my new design (I am hoping to bring it to you by the end of the month!), and maybe (just maybe!) get a start on my knitting project for the year. Dustin and I are driving 5 hours up north tomorrow for a wedding, and then driving all the way back the same night. So, I'll have plenty of work time!

Happy Crocheting (and happy weekend!)
Chelsea
