We are going to cover a few ideas in the next few weeks on how to crochet a hat. What's fun with crochet is the ability to leap around on your item and add a little of "this" here and a little of "that" there. The hat pattern that we are featuring is no exception. I am including a picture of the base of our crochet hat pattern.
From this base you can do all sorts of things. You can add an accent trim around the turned up bottom edge, or leave the hat longer and do not turn up the bottom edge, close the top of the hat as a beanie or add cute details to the top to make the hat truly original, or even apply extra details on the main body of the hat.
You will see what I mean by these details in the few weeks as we share several different completed crocheted hat patterns. I think these ideas will inspire you to learn how to crochet a hat for yourself, or a friend, or a relative. Be sure to check out our website at
